Sometimes, we create a customizing(Z) table in DDIC, there’re some fields we want it be case sensitive, but as default, for these fields, if you update the Z table with lower case, and when you want this field as a selection field and you just input the lower case to get data. Then SAP as default will convert your input into upper case and the result is you will not get anything, this article will show you how to avoid this.
Step 1: Go to SE11 and choose Domain, then input your domain name and click create
Then input your field information, note that the checkbox of Lower Case must be checked.
Then save and activate.
Step 2: Goto SE11 and choose data type
Input your element name and click create
In the popup screen, set the radio button element on and click OK
And then input your element information, just note that you should make the element type be domain, and input the domain which you defined before.
At last activate the element.
Step 3: Goto your Z table definition, and make the field you want it be case sensitive to use the data element you defined just right now.
